Teen Patti Gold Card Rankings: Full Order Explained

To win consistently in Teen Patti Gold, you must memorise the official hand ranking order. When two players reach a show, the stronger hand automatically wins the entire pot. Many new players lose rounds simply because they mix up which hand beats another. This article lists every hand from strongest to weakest, with clear examples for Teen Patti Gold standard rules.

The highest-ranked hand is a Trail, also known as a Set. A trail means all three cards have the same rank. For example, three Kings, three 7s or three Aces. Ace trail is the strongest possible trail, followed by King trail, Queen trail and so on down to 2. If two players both hold trails, the higher card rank wins.

Next is Pure Sequence, sometimes called a Straight Flush. A pure sequence is three consecutive cards from the same suit. Examples include Ace-2-3 of hearts, 5-6-7 of clubs, or 10-J-Q of diamonds. An Ace-2-3 pure sequence beats Q-K-A pure sequence in most standard Teen Patti Gold tables.

Third place goes to a Normal Sequence, or simple straight. This is three consecutive ranks, but mixed suits. For instance, 4-5-6 with different suits. A normal sequence loses to any pure sequence but beats a colour.

Colour, also called Flush, is three cards all from the same suit, but not in consecutive order. An example is three heart cards: Ace, 5 and 9. Colour beats a pair but loses to any sequence, pure or normal.

Pair is the next hand type. A pair means two cards share the same rank, and the third card is a kicker. Two Queens plus a 4 is a pair of Queens. When two players both have a pair, the higher pair rank wins. If both pairs are identical, the kicker card decides the winner.

The lowest valid hand is a High Card. This means you have no trail, sequence, colour or pair. The strength depends first on your highest card, then the second, then the third. For example, Ace-10-5 beats King-Queen-Jack.

Teen Patti Gold also has special variant rules that change rankings. In Muflis mode, the hand order reverses, so the weakest normal hand becomes the strongest. In AK47 mode, Aces, Kings, 4s and 7s act as wild joker cards. Always check the table variant before you start betting, because the ranking rules change.

Let’s look at a quick comparison example. Suppose Player 1 holds a normal sequence, and Player 2 holds a colour. The sequence wins. If Player 1 has a colour and Player 2 only a pair, the colour wins. When both players have identical hand categories, the ranks break the tie following the tie-breaking rules.

A common beginner mistake is thinking a high pair can beat a sequence. This never happens in standard Teen Patti rules. Another error is mixing pure sequence and normal sequence. Even a low pure sequence beats the highest normal sequence.

Take time practising hand recognition while you play. After each show, pause and compare the two hands to reinforce the ranking order. Once you can instantly judge hand strength, you will make much better decisions on whether to chaal, side show or fold. Understanding these rankings is the foundation of every good Teen Patti Gold strategy.
